If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you may have noticed that I went on a bit of a hiatus over the last month or so. I had quite a few people reach out and ask me about it and simply put… I needed a break!

When I started this blog, I felt like I had so much to share with others and wanted to help as many people as I could by sharing my life through this blog. After sometime, I was feeling uninspired, not just for writing new post but in my daily life.

I made a goal for myself to create a new post once a week, on Thursdays, and at some point, the days leading up to Thursday left me feeling anxious. I worried about what topics I should cover, what readers cared to see, and whether I had things to contribute that would be helpful to others.

I found myself uninspired and finally realized that instead of helping others and growing as a person, I was falling into a rut of my own. I slowly began to lose interest in the blog and lost motivation. I was working to be the best version of myself for the blog instead of for myself, which never works.

Let’s just say, the 22 inches of snow in mid-April didn’t help either. This Winter felt never-ending and that exhausting feeling sure took a toll on me. By the end of Winter, I felt drained. I had nothing left to give and was feeling so uninspired that I was in no place to be giving advice or inspiring others.

After my hiatus, I’m feeling so much better but I’ve realized that although this blog has been fun, I’d like to focus on other things instead. Does this mean I’ll be gone forever? Not likely, but it does mean that I won’t be posting consistently.

It means that instead of feeling like I have to write a post to check the box on my to-do-list, I’m going to share when I’m feeling inspired and feel that I have something to share with the world. Who knows, maybe I’ll change it up all together and go in a different direction.

No matter the outcome, these last several months have been a learning experience for me, and I hope for you too! If you’d like to keep in touch and be notified when I do share, hit the subscribe button below and I’ll come straight to your inbox. Feel free to follow me on social media too!

Thank you all for your kind words and support! When I started this blog, my goal was to inspire and help at least one person and I hope I’ve done that for you here!

Till next time…
