INGREDIENTS
1/4 onion cut into stipes
1 can French style green beans, drained
1/2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a medium sauce pan, on medium heat, add butter with onion, fry onion stirring until lightly browned.
2. Once onions begin to brown, add drained green beans, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Turn off heat, combining ingredients until sugar has devolved, about 30 seconds. Add more salt if needed.
Recipe Idea –
For an added layer of flavor, add a piece of cut up bacon with the onions while cooking, following the remaining directions the same.
I’ve also made this with fresh green beans, just increased the cooking time cooking down the green beans until they’re no longer crunchy.
